What are the minimum requirement of laptops/PC

Students are required to have a laptop or PC for college purposes, with specifications (standard for the 2020/2021 academic year):

  • Processor: min Intel Core i5 10th gen or min Ryzen5 3rd Zen Generation (Ryzen5 3600x)
  • Memory: min 16GB DDR 4
  • VGA: min 6 GB dedicated VGA (NVIDIA GEFORCE or ATI RADEON)
  • HDD: min 1 Tb + SSD min 256GB
  • Operating System: Windows or Mac OS

With the above specifications, students are able to run design softwares smoothly. It is not mandatory to buy Apple's product. Adjust to your budget accordingly.

Does the student need to buy a camera?

Prospective students are required to bring a camera during photography practicum. The camera can be borrowed from a relative, borrowed from a senior, or can be bought. The camera will be used in 3rd semester. If you decide to buy a camera there are several things to consider:

  • Choose a camera brand that is commonly used, such as Nikon or Canon. Choosing a common brand, makes it easier to buy spare parts if one day there is a problem with the camera
  • Until the 2021/2021 academic year, the type of camera used in the DSLR not Mirrorless
  • Adjust to your budget accordingly. Many DSLR cameras with a price of IDR 6 million can already be used for practice
